Tasting Notes: A lychee-pink colour. Fresh aromas of pomegranate and redcurrants with notes of white flowers. Decisive on the palate, good body and good balance between acidity and tanginess. Excellent length.

Food Pairings: Perfect as an aperitif, it also goes well with salads, delicate-flavoured pasta dishes and white meat.

Bertarose is a historic Bertani wine produced since the 1930s; today it has been given a modern makeover to bring out the fresh and pleasant features much sought after in a rosé. The excellent microclimate in the inland hills of Lake Garda, combined with expert use of the variety and rigorous care in the vineyard, enables us to produce this fresh and well-balanced rosé.

Molinara

Molinara is a light-bodied Italian red grape that is used as a minor blending partner in Valpolicella, Bardolino and IGT Veneto wines. On its own, Molinara is fairly nondescript and as a consequence rarely appears as a varietal wine. It is much more commonly used to add its naturally high acidity to other red wines, or to flesh out a particularly rich blend.

Molinara`s susceptibility to oxidization has caused it to fall from favor in modern winemaking culture and overall plantings in Italy are declining. It is still one of the mainstays in Valpolicella, though, and will remain so for as long as the local appellation laws allow.
