2009
Country: France, Bourgogne, Cote de Nuits
Grape Varieties: Pinot Noir
Jancis Robinson
Pale crimson. Dry rather than sweet and opulent but very fresh and pretty. Not that concentrated but very good balance and attractively savoury. Much more appealing than many wines from supposedly superior appellations. (4/2014)
Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate
The 2009 Bourgogne Rouge is a flashy, exuberant wine with lovely fleshiness at this level. Sweet red berries, flowers and spices are some of the nuances that emerge from this radiant, tasty Bourgogne.
Food Pairing: Beef, Veal, Game(deer, venison), Poultry
DOMAINE COCHE DURY
Domaine was founded in 1920 by Jean Francois Coche grandfather. Jean Francois took over the domaine in the mid of 70s from his father Georges. Jean Francois Coche was in 1975 married with Odile Dury and this led to the formatin of Coche-Dury domaine. Since 2010, the domaine runs under the leadrship of Raphae, son of Jean Francois. Raphae has been invoveld in work at the domaine since 1999.
Coche Dury is by all standards one of the best producers of white Burgundy, a position that has occupied more than 20 years. The most impressive is that Jean Francois done so without large portofolio of Grand Cru Vineyards. Coche Dury has rather modest production and maintains a very high quality from AOC Bourgogne to the top of the range. Production aproximate 4.200 cases annually.
