Giuseppe Quintarelli is a legendary estate located in the hills north of Verona in the heart of the Valpolicella appellation. It is regarded by many as the greatest of all Amarone producers and is known for its traditional deep, complex wines packaged with distinctive handwritten labels. The great man Quintarelli himself, known as il Maestro del Veneto, died in 2012 aged 84 but the winery remains family-owned and managed.

Product Description: Quintarelli`s Bianco Secco is a wine that strikes for the elegance and breadth of its aromas that range over different notes of ripe fruit, such as apricot and peach with yellow pulp. It is a wine capable of telling the story of Giuseppe Quintarelli, one of the Masters of Amarone; a man who has managed to make the most of the Valpolicella territory, a magical place nestled between Lake Garda, the Po Valley and the first Dolomite peaks. Here the culture of wine exists, you can feel it, you can see it and you can find it in really interesting products, which have marked the pace, such as this Dry White which is born from the union of Garganega, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Saorin and Trebbiano and which follows a natural philosophy: only natural manure as fertilizer and use of only copper and sulfur as a pesticide in the vineyard. Glass and steel in vinification and ageing, with the permanence of the wine on its yeasts to give it a really interesting structure.

Harvest: Late August-early September

Vinification and Aging: In glass and steel, with the permanence of the wine on its yeasts to give it a really interesting structure.

Tasting Notes: Straw yellow, with golden reflections, the nose releases delicate notes of ripe fruit, where apricot and peach stand out. Very pleasant and fragrant taste, with a nice freshness and good persistence.

Food Pairing: Appetizers and fish first courses, fresh cheeses, white meats.
Serving temperature: 8-10 ° C
Case Bottles: 6

THE GRAPE

Garganega

The 5th most widely planted white grape in Italy and the main grape used in the production of Soave. It is an abundantly vigorous grape and yields must be kept low for its discreet aromatic qualities to show in the wine.

Garganega reaches its peak in the Soave Classico zone where it constitutes 70-100% of the blend. The best wines are fresh, delicate, well balanced and can be redolent of almonds and citrus fruits. Garganega is also a key component in Bianco di Custoza and Colli Euganei.
