Giuseppe Quintarelli is a legendary estate situated in the hills north of Verona, within the renowned Valpolicella appellation. Considered one of the greatest Amarone producers, Quintarelli wines are distinguished by their deep complexity and traditional handcrafted labels. The winery, still family-owned, continues the legacy of Giuseppe Quintarelli, affectionately known as il Maestro del Veneto, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 84.
Vinification & Ageing: Fully ripened grapes with a significantly reduced yield. Slight drying of the grapes before fermentation. Fermented in large wooden vats.Aged in wooden barrels for 10 years, ensuring remarkable depth and complexity
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red with brownish highlights/ Sweet aromas of dark red fruits, damp forest floor, and delicate hints of noble winter truffle. Highly concentrated and structured, with an intense yet silky texture. Displays superb balance, finely granulated tannins, and a signature Amarone-style sweetness. Layers of depth unfold with every sip, revealing an exceptional aromatic range and a wine of immense ageing potential.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with dark meats, grilled dishes of any kind, and well-matured cheeses.
Serving Recommendation: Best served at 18-20°C to fully express its richness and complexity.
